Many gamers are accustom to the use of both of their thumbs when playing games, whether it be for pressing buttons or for moving a joystick. Recently, people have been more interested in joystick moving over button mashing with this appendage. Nintendo had noted this, and developed an attachable extra circle pad for the 3DS, to give it a PS3 feel. This accessory is a wonderful addition to the 3DS system, especially for the hardcore gamer. If you want to get your hands on this, you can pick it up at GameStop or on the online Nintendo Shop for the reasonable price of $19.99. If you can afford this, it is definitely worth it. You would imagine that all the talk about the Wii U system would start a whirlwind of talk about this new system, but many are very uninterested by the new Nintendo system. Many gamers are much more interested in the American-based Microsoft Xbox and Sony Playstation, according to an IGN poll. The Wii U is a big step for Nintendo, as it is the only home console for about seven years, and Nintendo can’t afford to put out a bum system at this point. What do you think? -Ryan Baxter

Metroid has a good number of devoted fans, but when Other M was released, it was not as big of a hit as was expected. However, it’s name may change now, for better or for worse, as there is a chance for more fans to try this game. Best Buy, who is known to drop numbers off their prices rapidly, has recently set out copies of Metroid: Other M for the low, low, low price of $7.99. Every gaming company must remember that there are two kinds of people: Hardcore gamers and casual gamers. Many companies forget about the businessmen that simply want to plug in their Wii and relax after a long days work, or the traveler that wants to kill some time before his next flight with some Sudoku on his 3DS. Ubisoft is not going to make this mistake with the Wii U, they announced. The two hardcore games, which you’ve probably definitely heard of, are Assassin’s Creed 3 and Rayman Legends, which you will surely hear more about (Stay tuned!). Ubisoft also plans to release 5 casual games, such as Avengers for Wii U. This should surely keep all walks of gamers content. What do you think? -Ryan Baxter

The Avengers are a super hero team like no other, boasting a handful of well developed superheroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, and The Hulk (to name a few).  In the near future, you’ll be able to take control of this lethal superhuman force.  Ubisoft Quebec is in the process of developing The Avengers: Battle For Earth for Wii U.  The fact that this Game isn’t just a re-telling of the movie could mean that a lot of work is being put into development.  Among other things, Ubisoft stated that there would be “competitive gameplay”, which hints at the possibility of a multiplayer feature.  So how the heck would this game work on Wii U, and which features would it use?  We don’t Have too much info yet, but fear not; E3 2012 approaches.  Stay tuned for more!  -Dallas B.

Luigi’s mansion is a game that we all hold dearly, as it was so long ago that it was part of Nintendo’s hay-day. When the sequel was announced, we all rejoiced. However, rumors have circulated stating that Luigi’s Mansion 2 will not only be on the 3DS, as we previously knew, but also on the up and coming Wii U! These rumors have not yet been confirmed, but we should know by the end of E3! What do you think? -Ryan Baxter

It is no secret that the 3DS is more popular than the DS, and many are aware that the 3DS is more popular than the DS ever was. However, just how much popular the 3DS is in relation to the DS was recently revealed. The difference between these two marvelous systems at this point (14 months) in their sales history is about 1 million units, up on the 3DS side. This gives you quite an idea about how much more popular the 3DS is, and how many are being bought! The question to ask is will the 3DS continue to be this popular. What do you think? -Ryan Baxter

Sega spent a good amount of money on 3DS game development last year, about 2 million. However, it seems that this fiscal year is going to be a bit different. Sega, as of now, has only 3 games set to be released between now and March 2013. Many see this as a lack in faith of the 3DS, but you would have to be a fool to ignore the amazing results that the 3DS is getting so far. It is much more likely that Sega is lying low and developing some awesome game that will revolutionize our love of Sega that was lost in 2006, and you know what I’m talking about (Sonic the Hedgehog, 2006).
