eevee3dsbigRemember when we told you about the new Pokémon themed 3DS XL on its way to Japan?  Well, it has been officially confirmed that it is indeed based on the much-loved Eevee.  You can check out what the new design will look like in the image above.  It is still unknown as to whether Nintendo plans on releasing this handheld outside of Japan, since even there, it will only be available via a special lottery.  This would be a fantastic system to release bundled with Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, alongside the Charizard design, which also hasn’t made it outside of Japan.

pc-heroine-and-eeveeJapan has already seen a Pikachu and Charizard Nintendo 3DS LL (XL in other regions), and that’s not the end to the Pokémon themed handhelds either.  No sir!  There’s another one on its way, and rumors lead us to believe that it will feature Eevee.  Most of the suspicions are due to a poster spotted at the Pokémon Center in Japan, which pretty much says that an Eevee 3DS LL will be announced on May 15th.

We’ll keep you posted. -Greg Boe (admin)

If you have waited these two long years, just to get a 3DS when this game comes out, this is for you.  You know who you are!

Last week, Nintendo fans were upset to find out that Sony’s PlayStation Vita beat the 3DS according to Japanese sales charts.  The system ended up selling 63,581 units in the 7 day period, which was more than the sales of both the 3DS XL and the original 3DS.  Yeah, that was a bit disappointing, but luckily, the 3DS has earned first place yet again in the charts this week.  Where the the Vita sold 36,028 units, the 3DS ended up on top with combined sales of 69,439 units. -Greg Boe (admin)

rise-guardians-santa-headerRise of the Guardians is actually a movie I would recommend checking out.  It’s got action, decent story, and sweet 3D visuals.  Looks like (as always) a slew of video games have been made to advertise the movie.  The cool thing about this version is that it’s the only one in 3D.  Just like the movie, right?  Um… just keep reading!  -Dallas B.
