Hey readers! If you don’t know already, anyone who purchased a Nintendo 3DS system and connected it to the internet before the price-cut in August is a Nintendo 3DS Ambassador. Being a 3DS ambassador doesn’t give you diplomatic immunity, but it does give you 10 free NES games, along with 10 free GBA games. Most of you have already downloaded the NES games a few months back, but the GBA games are now available as well. For simple instructions on how to download these games, read on! - Greg Boe (admin) (more…)

Nintendo of Japan has just revealed a complete list of all 10 of the NES games available through the Ambassador Program, and it seems to me like a perfect lineup to play on the go. All of the sudden, you may feel worried that somehow you aren’t a 3DS Ambassador, because it just sounds too good to be true. For one thing, this offer is totally legit, and there’s a way to figure out if you made it onto the list. Click the picture above or here to go to the Ambassador tool. There, you’ll be able to type in your serial number on the back of your 3DS, and you can rest easy that you’ve made it. Well, what are you waiting here for? - Greg Boe (admin)

For those of you that still want the 20 free games you’d better hurry, because you only have 3 days before the 3DS price is dropped $80 and the offer goes away. Today, Target has dropped the price down to $169.99, so you can get the discounted price and the 20 free games (10 NES games & 10 GBA games). Most of you know by now that the 3DS Ambassador Program is only available to those who purchase the Nintendo 3DS before August 12 (this Saturday!), so most of you are planning on getting your 3DS before then to get 20 free games. Today we were informed that Walmart is already selling the 3DS for $169.99, which is what everyone else will be doing later this week. The only catch is that you guys actually have to get off your butts and go to the store, because this offer is only in-store, not online. I’d say this is a great time to purchase a 3DS if you don’t already have one. Greg Boe (admin)

If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest news, Nintendo has decided to drop the 3DS price $80, and those who already purchased the handheld will receive 20 free games (10 NES & 10 GBA). Most of you already know that much, but Nintendo has also recently announced that all 20 of the games are also eligible for coins on Club Nintendo if your system is linked to your account. So if you think about it, after you complete all 20 surveys, you’ll have about 200 points added onto your account. This would also be a good excuse to order that Giant AR Card! - Greg Boe (admin)

Costco (North America) has dropped the price of the 3DS early (it will be dropped everywhere on Aug. 12th), meaning that you can buy the 3DS now for the new $170 price and also get all the 3DS Ambassador-exclusive games by logging into the eShop. If you have a Costco membership, but don’t have a 3DS yet, now would be a great time to get one. – Drew T. (asst. admin)
