“Those who cannot remember their history are condemned to repeat it.” The words of George Santayana ring true even today, and what better way to teach the young generation of the past than with an incredibly violent video game? The Assassin’s Creed series has taken us across the world and across time, improving the experience with each visit. Now we’re given an entirely new adventure in Assassin’s Creed III. Will this title follow the incredible system set by previous games? Continue reading to find out! -Ryan Baxter Continue reading

After Thoughts: Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (3DS)
This still awkwardly named party game is an installment in the Mario and Sonic at the Olympics series that we all had expectations for. Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games may have caught a few eyes at the first look, but was for the most part, unexplored. I’ve recently played the game quite a bit, and have collected a final conclusion on this “gem.” What are my after thoughts on this game? Continue reading to find out! -Ryan Baxter Continue reading
Preview: Mario Tennis Open (3DS)
There’s only 20 days left until the release of Mario’s latest sporting outing, Mario Tennis Open for the Nintendo 3DS. Some publications have already published reviews early on this game, saying that it’s a bit too simple. This may not be a bad thing at all. Mario Tennis Open goes back to the game’s 3D roots, while staying close in regards to gameplay to Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64. There are plenty of new features and additions, but is this game worth the buy when it releases? Continue reading to find out! -Amanda Manos Continue reading

Preview: Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge (Wii U)
I’m a fan of a number of developers, and the folks at Team Ninja are pretty high on my list. Whether it’s their long-running action series, Ninja Gaiden, or the story-driven fighter, Dead or Alive, Team Ninja knows how to pack a game with the content players long for. It’s been two decades since we’ve seen a Ninja Gaiden on a Nintendo console, and the series is finally returning with the release of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge for Wii U. Will this comeback be all we hoped and dreamed for? Continue reading to find out! -Greg Boe (admin) Continue reading
Preview: LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Wii/3DS)
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, slated for release on the Nintendo Wii and 3DS this summer looks to be a pretty good game from what I’ve seen. Among all the new features in LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, the most surprising part about the game is that it features voice-acted LEGO characters, a first for the entire series. What makes this new game seem like something gamers should check out? Continue reading to find out! -Adam Keene Continue reading
Preview: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (3DS)
The only Final Fantasy games to grace Nintendo systems since Final Fantasy IV in 1991 have been spin-offs or remakes. Hopefully this is due to change once the Nintendo Wii U launches this year (I hope greatly for Final Fantasy XV on this system), but the folks at Square Enix are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the series with the release of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (pronounced “theatre rhythm”), exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS. It will be a few more months until it’s North American release date of July 3, but the game has already launched in Japan. I wrote up a preview on this wonderful part theatre, part rhythm game, which is available after the break, and will hopefully convince some of you readers to pre-order this game. Why do I expect so much from Theatrhythm Final Fantasy? Continue reading to find out why! -Greg Boe (admin) Continue reading

After Thoughts: Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (3DS)
Last year, Capcom released their first Resident Evil game for the Nintendo 3DS, titled Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. The game was released to help die-hard Resident Evil fans hold on just a little longer for Resident Evil: Revelations to come out. Of course, here we are almost one year later, and the highly-anticipated Resident Evil: Revelations was released two months ago in North America. Back to the current subject. Did Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D do a decent enough job at tying us over for the real deal on the Nintendo 3DS? Well, yes and no… Continue reading to find out why! -Dallas Boe Continue reading
