Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Will Not Feature GamePad-Only Play

Many of us are looking forward to shutting off our T.V. screen and burying our face into our Wii U touch screen controller. However, many games will not allow this dream to become a reality. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is, sadly, one of these games. This continuation of the classic series will require you to keep the television available in order to play with any idea of what is happening to your character. Now, there are multiple ways to look at this requirement. We could be pessimistic and say “Oh, they just don’t want us to give the T.V. to our family, though it’s possible with the Wii U touch screen” or we could be more optimistic, noting that with greater requirements often come better gameplay and features. Ultimate, this game, despite the need for a television, is sure to bring us many revolutionary features and hours of gameplay that should more than make up for the need of this cumbersome device. -Ryan Baxter
