Nintendo: Miiverse is Wii U’s Killer App

Reggie Fils-Aime believes that Miiverse, is the “killer app” for the Wii U. That just means Reggie thinks that Miiverse is a great feature of the Wii U, and is great for the system and it will help the sales. Miiverse will come free with every Nintendo Wii U system, and it is looking great!

Miiverse is basically is a way for players to communicate with each other, and talk about games. Sounds like a boring old messaging system right? Wrong. I haven’t even told you about the features of Miiverse yet! You can leave messages or hints about certain levels of your game, or just the entire game, so hopefully your friends don’t spoil any games for you! Unless it’s Mario….  Third party developers are allowed to work with Miiverse, so it seems like it’s going to be very successful.

Another feature of Miiverse, is that it is a communications platform. To me it’s like Xbox Live, Facebook, and Twitter all combined! Miiverse offers users the ability to post status updates. Players can even send each other screenshots, or hand-drawn images (similar to Swapnote). Now this is my favorite feature, the Video chat! Players can use the built-in camera on the GamePad to chat with other players. All these features were shown during the Nintendo Pre-E3 Nintendo Direct presentation, and you can watch it here.
