If you didn’t mess yourself when the first ever Wii U trailer showed Zelda running in full 1080p HD, there’s something horribly wrong with you. Fans quickly began to speculate that this “tech demo” was actually an excerpt from the next big Zelda game. Further more, some when as far as to claim that it would be a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess since the demo’s art style was extremely similar. This very recent bit of news may or may not have to do with last year’s “tech demo” but I’m positive it’s news you’re dying to hear by now. According to a trusted source of Wii U Daily (which has been known to give extremely accurate leaks in the past) there is, in fact a new Legend of Zelda game slated for a release on the Wii U in 2014. According to the leak, the game is huge; the first test dungeon made was even bigger than Hyrule Field from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time! The development team is said to be the biggest Nintendo has ever assembled in order to make this gem the best it can be. You might see the following as good or bad news, but the art style is said to be like that of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (sorry Twilight Princess fans). What’s more, the developers feel like they’ve really reached the ultimate Zelda experience with Skyward Sword, and are hoping to tap into that same perfect Zelda formula, while also gearing the game’s appeal to the hardcore audiences. The game was originally slated for release in 2013, to combat Sony and Microsoft’s new systems, but the date ended up changing to sometime in 2014. Of corse everyone is probably very excited, after all IT’S A NEW ZELDA GAME! But just remember: even though this source has been trusted in the past, it’s possible that this is info is fake, and with that I want to remind you to not get your hopes up. Assuming this game is already being made, what could Nintendo to further improve the Zelda formula? Let us know in the comments!
