Mega Man/Sonic the Hedgehog Comic Crossover?

We’ve seen some pretty epic crossovers in the past decade, but this is one we’ll be talking about for years to come; Mega Man and Sonic the Hedgehog… OMG.  Where will this crossover take place?  Right in the pages of the monthly Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Sonic Universe comics (all from Archie comics), that’s where!  Here’s what Ian Flynn (the writer) had to say about this:

“If you’re a fan of the comics, you’ll enjoy the same adventure, action, fun, and characterization you’ve had in the regular titles.  If you’re a games-only fan, you’ll feel right at home with the characters you recognize in a new adventure.  It’s a story anyone can get into and enjoy.”

“Primarily in the case of Sonic, it’s light on the continuity.  It’s also more heavily game-centric in terms of games and locations.  We did this to make sure all the folks brought in by the news, but who might not be familiar with the regular books, could enjoy it just as much as die-hard fans who know everything about the titles inside and out.”

The blue blur and the blue bomber make a perfect team, and you’ll see matchups of other favorite characters such as Shadow/Bass, and Dr. Robotnik/Dr. Wily.  Look out for this 12-part saga of epic proportions at your local bookstore when it debuts early next year.  Looks like I finally have a reason to subscribe to these comics!
