Is Nintendo Catering to an Older Audience?

An audience is, arguably, the most important part of creating a game, and for quite some time, Nintendo has only catered to a younger audience. There are some problems here, as this audience, on average, has no reliable source of income besides that of their parents. Recently, it was announced that Nintendo is publishing the next Ninja Gaiden title, which is rated M. For Mature. And full of blood. This could mean that Nintendo is abandoning its original methods of cater to kids, only kids, and just kids. This could also mean that we see more war and gore games and also, perhaps, less of the kiddie fun games. What do you think? -Ryan Baxter
