Developers RARE have made some fan favorite games in the past for previous Nintendo systems, but after they were bought by Microsoft back in 2002, the company fell in popularity greatly, even with a few solid games. Here’s what former RARE composer, Grant Kirkhope had to say about this:

“I think Rare have completely f#@$ed themselves. And – it isn’t their fault; it’s Microsoft’s fault. They have completely ruined that company, and it makes me cry every day of my life.”

While this statement is quite harsh, it’s actually true. I miss the old RARE, and hope to see more of Kirkhope’s work on future Nintendo titles, maybe even a new Donkey Kong Country game. What is you favorite game by RARE? -Greg Boe (admin)
