Namco Bandai is Developing the Next Super Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo has a lot of amazing new games coming out ranging to a new Pikmin, Luigi’s Mansion, and Super Mario, so it makes sense that they will be seeking some help from development studios for help on the majority of these.  The biggest surprise came when Nintendo announced that Namco Bandai will be developing the next Super Smash Bros. game on Nintendo Wii U and 3DS.  Tetsuya Akatsuka (SoulCalibur) and the main development team from the Tekken series will be working on the project alongside Director Yoshito Higuchi (Tales of Vesperia) and Producer Kenya Kobayashi (Ridge Racer).  Expect to see some characters from famous Namco Bandai franchises make an appearance in the next Super Smash Bros. title. Stay tuned for more info! -Greg Boe (admin)

About Greg Boe

I'm the founder and administrator of Nintendo Charged. I've dedicated the past three years to keeping our readers in the loop with the imaginative world of Nintendo. My biggest gaming interest at the time is the Nintendo Wii U and it's upcoming games, but I've been a close follower of the 3DS since launch in 2011. My favorite game as of now is The World Ends With You on DS. If you have any questions, or just want someone to play online with, leave a comment! I hope you enjoy your visit at Nintendo Charged.

I hope they don’t add more than 5 Namco Bandai characters, or else this won’t really be a Smash Bros. game…

I have to disagree. Even if Namco Bandai throws in 15 characters from their franchises, as long as Nintendo has at least 3/4 of the roster, this could actually improve the amount of characters to choose from, and the gameplay altogether.
