3DS XL Recently Announced

Just yesterday, Nintendo announced a new product, or at least a twist on an existing product. We all know and love the 3DS, but now, for those of us that have difficulty pressing buttons or viewing small screens, there is the 3DS XL, with a screen almost twice as big as the 3DS. This should attract many new players to the 3DS. Attempting to keep the price down, Nintendo has announced that the 3DS XL should be priced at approximately $199 when it is released in Europe on July 28th and North America on August 19th. It should be noted that this isn’t the first time that Nintendo has created a larger version of it’s portable system. The DS XL was marketed not too long ago, and wasn’t as big of a success as it was probably anticipated to be. The question that needs to be asked is will this increase possible sales of 3DS technology or will it simply steal the sales of people that were planning to buy a 3DS in the first place, but would rather have a larger system. What do you think? -Ryan Baxter
