Nintendo 3DS Japanese Sales Update (May 2012)

The Nintendo 3DS has been around for over a year, and it is still going strong. Those of us that have our 3DS in our pocket right now know why this is, but perhaps you don’t know just how extreme the spread of the 3DS is at this point. The top two countries for these sales are Japan and the UK. In Japan, the home of Nintendo, there have been over 6 million sales of this system, this gives a ratio of 1 3DS for about every 21 persons. In the UK, there are about 950 thousand sales, which is a ratio of about 1 3DS for 62 persons. With just the sales between these two countries, there is one 3DS for just under every 1000 people in the world! These are quite some numbers to be making for Nintendo!
