Shortly after the announcement of New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo 3DS, I had noticed that the game was briefly listed under an eShop title on Nintendo’s Press Site.  I checked back the next day and the listing was changed to a Nintendo 3DS retail release, and I had a little theory that ended up coming true.  Yesterday, Satoru Iwata confirmed my suspicions by saying that the game will release in both physical packaged form, as well as downloadable eShop form.  This is a first for any Nintendo title.  Nintendo plans on keeping the same price for both the digital and physical release.  Stay tuned for more info! -Greg Boe (admin)
